folk paintings, screens, bronzes, calligraphy, and paintings by some
of the great Korean masters, dating from the 5th century A.D.) to the
beginning of the 20th century. The art collection features examples
from the Silla Dynasty (57 B.C.-A.D.935), Goryeo Dynasty (935-1392)
(fka: Koryo), and the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), emphasizing the Joseon
Dynasty (fka: YI) and the artists' marvelous everyday simplicity and
humor, capturing the carefree, spontaneous spirit of the artists.
