| With election day getting closer and closer we all can't help but to put under the microscope various images of human nature. By what standard must we uphold our noble candidates? What are the qualities you are look ing for in the person to lead our great nation? How about someone who is really fun to have around, with a great sense of humor and never smells too funky. The type of person who, when you look at the clock, makes you wish you had more time to spend... Someone you trust? Or is 'someone who won't fuck you over' more appropriate? I guess the real judge of human worth lies within the individual ideals we hold. I'm looking for someone full of the human spirit, the spirit that won us independence from good King George. The spirit that rocketed men to the moon and gets the twelve year old on stage in front of everyone she knows, the world, and sing the song as she's never sung it before. | This February 2, Punxsutawney Phil left the cozy warmth of his private den and stepped outside to take a pee. He was startled to discover hundreds of Pennsyl vanians huddled around his lawn waiting to take pictures of this humble act. Phil, being a respectable kind of groundhog, did what he had to do and got the hell out of there. These people were starting to scare him a little. Anyway, I guess that means we have six more weeks of Winter. Back to you, Bob |
