strange TIMES

Spring/Summer edition #2 July 1. 1995

Editor's Note

Welcome once again to the wonderful world of jamie Strange. If you haven't already slept with us, now you're sleeping with Jamie... Strange Times are upon us again and we are just about to burst with excitement. The last edition of Strange Times did not get wide circulation and if you are one of the lucky ones in possession of a copy, hang on to that squirmy fish, it'll be a collector's item some day!

What's up in our world? Well, we have been working on a bunch of new tunes as usual. A new tape and dare we say it... CD are quite possibly in the near future. Ballad of the Pearl, which is still available at shows, band members on the street, and Borders in Manchester has done really well for us and judging from the feedback we have received is something that many of you really enjoyed. As a side note, Borders is really beginning to get a good selection of local music. Area musicians should really try to get their tapes out to all stores that carry local music. Original music in this neck of the woods needs as big of a push as possible, get those tapes out to the stores and radio stations, play out and go see those others who are out there, basically... make...

SUPPORT LOCAL ORIGINAL MUSIC.
IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE.

...SOME NOISE!

The World According to Angela

This week I'm wondering if all of you received our little postcards. I'm wondering... did they make their way out of the darkened ash halls of the US Postal system, my little yellow sunflowers? Because there are close to 300 of you, the few, the proud, the strange fans. Jamie licked a lot of stamps. Too many stamps, to be honest with you. Enough stamps to start spitting funky shades of pink. Pink spittle, truly a surprise.

This is a copy of the petition that jamie put into the gray suggestion box at the Post Office with the full support of all of us in the band.

Dear US Postmaster General,
Will you please make self-adhesive postcard stamps? Many i enterprising individuals such as myself often send information to the ; people via the all American postcard. It would be so nice not to get . glue all over my tongue. Deep into my taste buds, where all I can taste is GLUE, and GLUE is everywhere... in my shot glass, on my demo tapes, on college radio, flooded into my fingertips... GLUE, GLUE, GLUE, GLUE, GLUE, GGGLLLLUUUUUUEEEE! ! ! ! ! ! Gimmie a G! Gimmie an L! How 'bout a U!, and an E! What's that spell? What 's that spell ?

SELF-ADHESIVE POSTCARD STAMPS!!!!!!
Thank you,
jamie

If any of you would like to support us on this, any of you writers, photographers, actors, dancers, painters, bored freaks, cartoonists, musicians, hand puppeteers, jugglers, ventriloquists, short-order cooks, bartenders, and artists... send two letters; one to jamie at the address on page three and one to your local Post Office.

United we stand, divided... we fall!
